Playbooks

Standing orders that run on a schedule: statuses, skill mounts, and plan caps.

A playbook is a standing order: instructions in plain words, one or more mounted skills, and a schedule. On every scheduled fire it runs unattended against your connected apps — always read-only — and the result lands in your runs feed and the playbook's history.

The playbooks page

Playbooks in the sidebar lists every playbook with its schedule, mounted skills, and latest scheduled-run health — Succeeded, Failed, Running…, or Never ran. A credit meter at the top shows your balance and how many of your plan's playbook slots are in use.

Statuses

A playbook is Active or Paused — the switch in the Trigger card on its page flips between them (you can also ask the home-page chat to pause or resume one).

Two derived states are worth knowing:

  • Won't run — needs setup: the playbook is enabled but has no instructions or no skills. Add instructions and mount at least one skill to activate it.
  • Playbooks can't be activated at all until they have instructions and at least one skill.

Mounted skills

The Skills button on a playbook's page opens a checkbox picker of your workspace's ready skills — a playbook can mount up to 20. Mounting doesn't require credentials, but running does: a run whose skill is missing a credential fails with a clear reason, and the fix is on that skill's page.

Mounted skills appear as chips linking back to each skill.

How many can be active

Your plan caps enabled playbooks — one on the Trial, five on Pro. At the cap, enabling another is refused: "Your trial runs one playbook at a time. Pause it first, or upgrade for more." Paused playbooks don't count.

Automatic protections

  • Repeated failures: three consecutive failed scheduled runs disable the playbook, and you get a notification. A success resets the counter.
  • Out of credits: scheduled playbooks pause silently and resume by themselves once credits are back — nothing is disabled, nothing needs re-enabling. See Trial & Pro.

What runs cost

A playbook run is weighed by all its mounted skills together: 3 credits for a Light combination (up to 20 operations), 8 for Standard (21–50), 15 for Heavy (51+). The Test run button shows the exact price before you click. See Credits & plans.
